KENDAL Classic MCC got its Nostalgia weekend away to a flying start with the Nostalgia Trial which was staged on Saturday at the Nostalgia headquarters at Holme Farm, Middleton, near Sedbergh. And this year, such is the popularity of the event, the club played host to a monster entry of 200-riders who tackled three-laps of an 18-section course, set mainly on the steeply-wooded slopes surrounding the start area.
Tip
Riding a dirt bike at or near your personal limit would be hot and sweaty business in shorts and a T-shirt, but most of us are smart enough to wear a lot more air-blocking but vital safety equipment than that. At round 10 of the 2009 AMA Motocross Championship held at Budds Creek, Honda Red Bull Racing’s Davi Millsaps rode to victory for the first time this season aboard his CRF450R, winning moto one and finishing the round second overall. Ivan Tedesco joined his teammate on the podium, finishing third overall.
