Motocross Mania

LAST weekend Hawkstone Park, was buzzing. Once more a big classic contingent had descended on the famous track for the two-day Hawkstone Classic, but this time there was considerable European presence, all eager to do battle with those famous sandy slopes.
The occasion? The final round of the ECMO European Classic Motocross Championship and the third round of the British Classic Scrambles championship. And three home riders – Terry Challinor, Adrian Cox and Scott Hayworth – had good cause to record it as a day to remember.

PAUL Edmondson, the oldest rider in the Championship class at present, and newly-signed Kawasaki rider, David Knight, were the two big winners at the second round of the Metzeler British Enduro Championship, the Central Wales Auto Club-organised Knighton Enduro. Forty-year-old Edmondson topped the Championship class results on day one, while Knight fought back on day two to claim his first ever BEC victory on a Kawasaki…
